Welcome! I am so glad that you are taking the time to explore my website. My name is Anna Francis and I am a therapist in Austin, Texas.
People come to therapy for many reasons. Sometimes they are feeling depressed, anxious, alone or empty. They want more joy, more connection, more closeness in their relationships. Psychotherapy can help with all of these things. I create a warm, non judgmental space to explore what is getting in the way of having the life that you want to live. Together, we can reflect on the past and make sense of your experiences. We can witness and alleviate your current suffering. We can make a new way forward.
I approach my clients with curiosity, compassion and an open heart. I know that all humans have the ability to heal. I use different approaches like EMDR, mindfulness, internal family systems therapy, interpersonal neurobiology, and attachment theory to help unlock the healing process and alleviate suffering from things like addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, postpartum depression, relationship issues, self loathing, food issues and grief .
I have experienced my own sufferings and have found healing through therapy. I sometimes draw upon these experiences in our work so you know that you are not alone. I see you and I am with you, without judgement but with hope.
